Dr. Emily Houston, PT, DPT, OCS
Pelvic Health Clinic Operator, Pelvic Health Specialist
Dr. Houston joined Healing Motion Physical Therapy in February of 2023.
Originally from the Philomath area, Emily is delighted to return to the community after years away! In 2009, she graduated from Colorado College magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, then worked in education in the Bay Area. While there, she discovered her career passion and earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2015 from UC San Francisco/San Francisco State University. Emily began her physical therapy career working in orthopedics at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland. She completed a one-year residency program to further specialize in this field, and is board-certified as a clinical specialist in Orthopedics. Emily then spent 4 years working as a Physical Therapist in California. She started a successful PT clinic in association with the Indian Health Clinic on the reservation near her town. Here she treated a wide range of ages and presentations, also starting an Aquatic program and advancing her treatment in Pelvic Health.
Emily loves her work and is committed to helping each patient meet their goals through therapy, whatever the goal may be! She uses a patient-centered, holistic approach. She loves the variety of orthopedic presentations she works with, and is particularly passionate about offering care to individuals with pelvic presentations (e.g., during and following pregnancy, pelvic pain, incontinence, bowel dysfunction).
Emily returned to Philomath with her spouse and 2 young children. In her free time you can find her enjoying the Pacific Northwest air with her family: hiking, running, biking, gardening, playing in the woods or curled up reading with her kids.
Dr. Sarah Webb, PT, DPT, PRPC
Pelvic Health Mentor, Pelvic Health Specialist
Dr. Webb joined Healing Motion Physical Therapy in August of 2024.
Sarah was raised in Spokane, Washington. She graduated magna cum laude with her bachelor’s in Biology from the Honor’s College at Washington State University. She then went on to Pacific University to complete her doctorate in physical therapy. Although Sarah graduated from Washington State, her grandfather is an Oregon State University Alumni and her father was born right here in Corvallis. It was only fitting that she would meet her husband here in Oregon and is excited to establish roots in Corvallis.
Sarah developed a passion for raising awareness about human trafficking while in college, which led her to further study pelvic health rehabilitation. Since then, she has become a board-certified pelvic health physical therapist. Along with providing patient care, she is also an adjunct faculty professor with the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Western Health Sciences in Lebanon, Oregon. Sarah enjoys being able to meet each patient where they are at and to help equip and educate them about what is going on. Sarah finds that the more patients understand their bodies, the more likely it is that they will be able to get back to doing more of what they love.
Sarah’s love for teaching and equipping others has led her to join forces with Healing Motion in order to establish a mentorship program for physical therapists wanting to learn how to provide quality pelvic health rehabilitation. She is looking forward to furthering the knowledge of pelvic health in both patients and physical therapists in this community.
